Jerry “Motorman” Palladino has been a valuable expert witness with legal cases involving motorcycle accidents. Jerry Palladino is a certified Police Motor Officer and certified Motor Officer Instructor. His extensive background as a Motor Officer Instructor and owner of Ride Like a Pro, Inc. in the State of Florida has Jerry Palladino ranked as the “go to” authority when it comes to anything dealing with motorcycles and rider training when it comes to his riding customers and clients. Jerry’s professional testimony and expertise has helped jurors understand the physics of motorcycling and the causes of most motorcycle accidents with his compelling expert witness testimony.
Jerry Palladino completed a 120-hour Motor Officer training in Tallahassee, FL with the Florida Highway Patrol. Jerry attended the Institute of Police Technology and Management (IPTM) in Jacksonville, FL for Certification for Motor Officer Instructor. He retired in 2004 from full time duty with the Pasco County Sheriff Department to continue working the Reserve Deputy Program.
Jerry Palladino is the producer and star of 14 motorcycle safety instructional videos, including the best- selling Ride Like a Pro series and Author of his book of the same name. Jerry also writes a safety column in three nationwide motorcycle magazines; Motorcycle Bagger, Full Throttle Magazine and Born to Ride Magazine. Jerry also creates and produces Safety clip segments for public television, featured on Born to Ride TV and Speed TV. Jerry’s Ride Like a Pro Advanced Motorcycle Rider Class is focused on teaching the average rider the three Motor Officer techniques. Jerry’s rider classes have expanded to 19 successful Ride Like a Pro franchises across the USA and Japan; all owned and operated by Motor Officer Instructors and civilian riders that have passed the Motor Officer Instructor course. He has performed over 4,000 Motorcycle Safety Seminars in the past 18 years at motorcycle rallies all over the Country.
Expert Witness Service Fees:
$2,000.00 Non-Refundable Retainer Fee
(Includes First (3) Phone Consultations)
Expert Witness Fee $300.00 per Hour
Travel Time $200.00 per Hour + Expenses
Testimony Time at Courthouse $300.00 per Hour
Reviewing Depositions $300.00 per Hour
Maximum Day rate $2400.00
+ Travel/Other Expenses
*Fees are negotiable for multiple cases
Deposition and Testimony:
All outstanding fees, including anticipated testimony fees are required in advance. In-State deposition and testimony is billable at half-day rate (8am – 1pm, or 1pm – 6pm) of $1200 or full day (8am – 6pm) rate of $2400. Out -of-State deposition and testimony is billable at full day rate of $2400, plus travel time and costs.
Invoices:
Presented at the end of each month. Accounts are payable in full within 30 days of invoice date. Overdue accounts subject to a service charge of 1% per month. Unpaid accounts are subject to adjudication in Pasco County, FL.
Exception:
Accounts are to be paid in full prior to deposition or courtroom appearance. Advance payment required for opposing counsel deposition.
Acceptance
Retaining attorney is responsible for all fees. Provision of case materials shall constitute acceptance of these terms whether or not agreement is executed.
Terms:
Invoices are expected to be paid Net 15 days.
